I’m a Tech fan. Anyone who’s ever read this site or knows me, knows that. Big Georgia Tech fan. And since GT made a run at the Final Four a few years back, things have been kind of slow on the basketball front.
Hopefully signing Derrick Favors, one of the top recruits in the nation, changes that. On why he chose GT over UGA (his second choice) or NC State (his third choice):
“It’s probably just the history, the number of guys they put in the NBA, the number of guys Georgia put in the NBA,” Favors said. “I wanted to play in the ACC. … I love Georgia, I loved everything about it, but when I was at home thinking about it, I’d rather be at Georgia Tech. It’s the best situation for me.”
The AJC continued to ask about his chances of leaving Tech early, where Favors said that might happen. And when he says “might,” he means, “I’ll be here one year, and I’m gone.” But I’ll take it. I’ll take it.
