When you hear that a coach has dislocated shoulder because of an encounter with a raccoon, and then you hear that the coach was Pat Summitt, it’s naturally something you chuckle at.

Summitt had taken her golden Labrador out for a walk Wednesday night when they came back to find the raccoon on the deck at her home.

“I momentarily lost it,” Summitt told WBIR-TV in Knoxville. “The raccoon was about to attack. I just knocked it off the deck, and fortunately nothing happened but a dislocated shoulder, and it’s back in place.”

It’s good to know that Pat Summitt is okay, but raccoons may find themselves on the endangered species soon. You mess with Lady Vols basketball in the state of Tennessee, and you’ve got 50,000 angry rednecks with a new favorite game to hunt.
