Not wanting to play without his high school coach, or maybe just tired of being benched after posting an undefeated record as a starter, Mitch Mustain, prized recruit last year, is transferring to Tulsa. Mustain will join Gus Malzahn, his high school coach, who just took a job a couple of days ago with Tulsa, signing a contract to be their assistant coach/offfensive coordinator.
I don’t think Arkansas is fretting too much about this, considering that Darren McFadden plays QB seventy percent of the time anyway, but this isn’t going to help their recruting of quarterbacks in the future. What is Houston’s pitch going to be?
“Uh, kid, have you seen the shit I can do with young quarterbacks? Mustain was undefeated. . . and I yanked him. If you don’t go twelve-and-oh, then forget it. You ain’t Arkansas material. Cock of the walk, baby. Cock of the walk.”
[awkward silence in the poor recruits living room]
Hopefully Mustain will do well in Tulsa. I can’t imagine him doing much better than an 8-0 record in the SEC, no less, but at least he won’t be yanked for putting together such a horrible season.

QB Mustain can take his crybaby attitude and his, I mean McFadden’s, 8-0 record in the SEC to Tulsa, an extremely small time but solid Division 1 program. Hopefully his mother has more influence in Oklahoma than Arkansas, who knows, maybe Malzahn will hire the first female college QB coach and at least get some sports page recognition nexy year. With Brennan coming back for a final year at Hawaii, Booty at USC, and Tebow at Florida, I think that we have heard the last of Mustain as he departs to the backwaters of college football and the backpages of the sports section. Maybe he can get a win over Army and salvage a little respect. Best wishes, Mustainovich!

Fight On at USC Mitch!
Those losers down there didn’t even know where you were transferring. It had to be tiring putting up with so many slow and retarded inbreds.
