It’s nothing new to watch coordinators and coaches come and go into new programs. This is a “What have you done for me lately?” industry, and if success isn’t instant, it’s not always guaranteed.

But I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a guy get hired, and before he’s even halfway through his first season, he gets fired. Tony Franklin now takes that title.

Head coach Tommy Tuberville said Wednesday he’s not satisfied with progress being made on offense and felt it was best to make a change. He said he will take a larger role in working with the offense the rest of the season.
