Remember a few months ago when Moises Alou came out and set the record straight, saying that he would have never caught that ball that ended up in Bartman’s hands, thus ruining the rest of his life? Remember when we all had that nice moment, thinking maybe — just maybe — this poor geek was let off the hook forever?
Yeah, well, don’t be too fond of that moment. Because Moises Alou, sudden asshole that he is, is saying he never said such a thing.
“I don’t remember that,” he said, according to the Post. “If I said that, I was probably joking to make [Bartman] feel better. But I don’t remember saying that.”
This is bad news for Bartman, but really, really good news for us, who can still chuckle when we hear his name. I mean, honestly, could it have happened to a more awkward, geeky, nerdy, and downright easy-to-make-fun-of individual?
