A-Rod has never carried himself as your typical married man, but it’s something I’m hesitant to blame him for. He makes a quarter-billion dollars a decade, plays in one of the greatest cities in the world, for one of the most storied teams in baseball history, and, qite frankly, that’s a lot of pressure to just be with one woman.

Well, he won’t have to worry about sneaking around anymore — not that he worried about it before — because Mrs. A-Rod has filed for a divorce.

“The marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken because of the husband’s extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct,” according to her petition for dissolution of marriage, filed in the family division of Miami-Dade County Circuit Court.

The New York Yankees third baseman, who earned his 12th All-Star selection Sunday, has refused to comment on any relationship with Madonna.

Now he can get with all the manly strippers or Madonna types that he wants. Or, better yet, just patch it up with Jason Varitek and finally come out of the closet.
