Tonight will mark the night that the Rockets beat the hell out of the Hawks, but as a fan from Atlanta, I have to hope that Atlanta can maybe pull it off; the season has been pretty miserable, and even with the acquisition of Mike Bibby, we still stink.

The Rockets should handle the Hawks, but the optimistic part of me says that maybe we can salvage our recent suckiness and end the third longest streak in NBA history (the Lakers have the longest streak, which is 33 straight games).

It’s hard to believe the Rockets are doing this without Yao, but when you get hot, you get hot, as they’re demonstrating now. Just as the Hawks are, to put it frankly, demonstrating that when you get cold, you get cold.

My prediction: Rockets 119, Hawks 94
