These days, I pretty much need a reason to watch the NBA, and tonight provides that reason: Kobe vs. The Diesel, presumably on TNT (I haven’t checked yet, but I’d bet a good bit on it).

It’s a shame the two aren’t still together, where they were each twice as entertaining. Kobe doens’t pass. Shaq gets all the credit. Their quips back and forth were priceless, and while the idea of Steve Nash and Shaq duking it out is entertaining, it isn’t very probably.

Anyway. . .

The game’s tonight at 9:00 — it’s actually on ESPN, not TNT — and Sportsbook.com has ongoing bets of who throws the first punch.

The Daddy’s back, and even if he’s old and aging by the second, it should make for a fun first week.
