I went to Tunica, Mississippi, where there’s casinos, and I blew about $500. I was pissed. I was more than pissed — to me, $500 bucks is a lot of money.

Charles Barkley, on the other hand, goes to Vegas and drops money by the boat-loads, and then doesn’t pay his debts.

The former NBA star and Hall of Famer apparently owes Vegas $400k, and if he doesn’t pay it, felony charges will be pressed.

“My mistake,” Barkley said in an interview at a pro-am golf tournament in Hoover, Ala. “I’m not broke, and I’m going to take care of it.”

“I’ve been gambling 20 years. I’ve never had this happen before,” the 45-year-old Barkley told WJOX. “It’s my fault I let the time lapse. I screwed up.”

I know Charles is a good commentator but maybe not the brightest crayon in the box, but I figured he was smart enough to learn after 20 years how not to lose 400k in Vegas.
