It’s a wonderful world when stars are on the Internet blogging away. It really is. Our most recent star, D’Nabb, is blogging on his site saying that he’s embarrassed by his recent play.
“I’m embarrassed with the way we played the past two weeks,” McNabb wrote. “I believe that we lost to teams we should have beaten. Not because I think they are not good — they are. But I still believe we are better; we just didn’t show it.”
I said it at the beginning of the season, and I’ll say it again: Are we really surprised this team isn’t great? Their best receiver is a rookie. Their QB is often in throwing slumps, their defensive line isn’t great, and their best player is a running back, who, while incredibly good, can’t do everything by himself. Top to bottom, this team just doesn’t stack up with the others in the East.

While everything you said above is correct, the Eagles still have competed and won within the division since 2001. The Eagles are notorious for slow starts so don’t count them out yet. Their biggest problem this year seems to be finishing ball games and it doesn’t help that Westbrook has been hurt with numerous injuries since last year. If this team can secure some loose ends they have a great chance at winning the rest of their division games making things interesting in the NFC East.
