Your comments aren’t pissing me off. I find them insightful, to be truthful. And you might be right: Maybe LeCharles Bentley never led the Saints to a playoff game. But I can tell you this: They haven’t missed the playoffs because of him. I’d say the main reason they weren’t in the playoffs the last few years — except last year, of course — was because of Aaron Brooks.

Anyway, I appreciate your comments and opinion. Like I said, insightful.

4 good years is the most that’s possible to give New Orleans: Drafted 2002 season, which means he played 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 before being traded to Cleveland for the 2006 season. Again, I disagree (a principle that our country was founded on) with your reasoning. A guy that’s going to be out of the league after only playing 4 seasons cannot by definition be a steal. The only exception would be if that guy was a 3rd round pick who brought home four rings to that team. I don’t believe Bentley even helped leaded NO to the playoffs. Correct me if I’m wrong, please.

As for the site, I enjoy having another alternative in the sports blog world. I’ll check back and see if I can piss off any more people with my comments. Thanks

All apologies if another of your comments was deleted. I’ve been busy today, and when I came home I had 98 comments to moderate. There’s a lot of spam in this process; sometimes I’m unable to read them all.

I’m sorry if I’ve offended you with this post. As for the two guys going number 19, it was a typo; not the end of the world. Maybe a finger slipped, maybe I read it wrong. I don’t know. I’ve since the made the correction, so you can go through and read this without anger beaming from your eyes.

And yes, I think LeCharles Bentley is a steal, even if he is gone from New Orleans now. He gave them five good years, two of which were Pro Bowls. He helped anchor a line that was part of the recent Deuce/Reggie success. Again, sorry if you don’t agree. It’s a sports blog. Not a political debate.

I think I’m going to create a blog that is nothing but comments … and then delete them. Nice to know that censorship still exists on this planet. You’d think you’d have corrected the mistake after deleting my comment: you have two guys being picked #19 in the first round. Hard to notice I know. But, as the draft goes, you can only have one guy picked at each slot. Just kind of how those things work.

Again, LeCharles Bentley a steal? Not when he’s no longer a member of the team that drafted him (thus negating his steal-ability) and he missed an ENTIRE season due to injury.

Putting Levi Jones nuder the over-hyped category is ridiculous. He is one of the best o-linemen in the NFL. He anchors the Bengals line opposite the other pro-bowler Willie Anderson.
