Since Michael Vick’s conviction on dog fighting, things haven’t been going so hot. The Falcons tried to take all his money, Wells Fargo or Wachovia or some big bank asked for over $2 million that most weren’t sure Vick even had. And now, now we’ve got this, a bank in Canada that is demanding Vick pay up some money.
A federal judge on Thursday ordered imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick to repay more than $2.4 million to a Canadian bank for defaulting on a loan.
The Royal Bank of Canada sued Vick in September, arguing his guilty plea to a federal dogfighting charge — and the resulting impact on his career — prevented him from repaying the loan.
On the bright side, Vick doesn’t have any type of mortgage payment, and where he is the rent is free. On the dark side, that place where he has free rent is jail, and he’s being more and more forgotten as time goes on.
