Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Pats and Moss are close to a deal, ending everyone’s hopes that the once great offense would be left depleted with nothing but Jabar Gaffney and Wes Welker.

The people at PFT are saying this could scream conspiracy theory, that someone high up in the Pats organization is reporting this to try and scare any possible suitors for MOss away. And whatever happened to that package deal? If they sign Moss, will Brady be replaced by Culpepper?

I guess I don’t need a source to answer that question.
