Most games are around halftime (I’ve personally been watching the Falcons/Panthers game; it’s only ’cause I’m a Falcons fan), and here’s what’s going on around the league right now.
Rams 17, Saints 7: What’s not to like about a team that starts 0-4 and is now 4-4? Well, other than the fact that they’re losing at home to winless team, nothing. Drew Brees has already thrown two picks, and Marc Bulger has only thrown two incompletions.
Bills 0, Dolphins 3: If you wanted to find a game that’s less entertaining to watch than paint drying, here it is. JP Losman and Cleo Lemon’s combine dpassing stats are: 10/20 for 83 yards. Thrilling.
Broncos 6, Chiefs 8: In his first game back as a starter, Priest Holmes has 13 carries for 41 yards. Jay Cutler threw another interception, giving him at least one interception in every game he’s ever played in.
Vikings 0, Packers 13: ROY update: AP has 9 carries for 45 yards, but that Packers offense is forcing to the Vikings to throw the ball a little more than they’d like. Brett Favre is 20-31 for 155 yards.
Falcons 7, Panthers 7: The Panthers have done nothing — nothing! — on offense, but the Falcons do what they normally do, giving up fumbles for touchdowns and falling apart on special teams.
Eagles 7, Redskins 12: Joe Gibbs has taken the training wheels of Jason Campbell, as the former Auburn star has 104 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first half, probably his best half of the season (see what happens when you throw the ball, Joe?).
Browns 21, Steelers 6: I said in my picks that I liked the Browns at +9.5. That said, I went off and teased this one, and instead of taking the Browns at +19.5, I took the Steelers straight up (it seemed like a safer bet to me). Having parlayed them with the Saints, I’m a little nervous right now.
