There was a hint of hope that Moss may not be in New England next year, given the delay in his signing, the teams that should have been interested, and the fact that Moss seems pretty greedy, anyway, but all of that hope that everyone once had is now gone. Moss, after all, is signed with the Pats for the next three years.
The defending AFC champions re-signed the record-breaking receiver on Monday to a three-year deal worth $27 million, his agent said. The signing was confirmed by the team shortly after Moss posted a message to fans on his Web site.
“I want to take time out to thank all of the fans for their support and for wishing me well in my return to New England,” Moss wrote. “I’m ready to get back. We have some unfinished business to take care of.”
This is bad news for the League and kinda good news for me. I hate the Pats, I didn’t want him to re-sign, but I play in a fantasy keeper league, and I happened to draft Brady and Moss last year. Which means I’m pretty much in the finals again next year, hopefully not choking it up at the end this time.
