Demario Atwater, who’s thought to be responsible for Eve Carson’s death, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with first degree murder. There’s a warrant out for Lawrence Lovett, who’s suspected to be an accomplice in the murder.

Atwater only whispered “yes” when asked if he understood the charges against him during an initial court appearance. His next court date was set for March 24, and he was ordered held without bond.

The hope is that Lovett is found, and the trial for Atwater is a quick and brisk one; with how much attention this story has received, don’t be too surprised to see the prosecution seek death as the penalty, and, to be quite frank, I’d root for it all the way.
